Unpaid wages

My employer owes me 6 weeks wages and 3 weeks vacation time which I have a letter from him stating that he owes the money. I have 3 checks of those 6 weeks that I have not cashed yet because there is no money in the bank to cover them. My gross is 1,000.00 per week, my net is 810.00 per week. What is the best way to persue this?

If he has no money to cover the checks he already wrote to you, where will he get the additional money he owes you? See if he will sign a promissory note with defintie terms of when he will pay you. You could also file a small claims case but even if you win you might have trouble collecting.
