I am a store manager for a convenience store; I have tenure but I recieved an email from the 'higher ups' that store managers were not allowed to take any days off/vacations during this 2008 holiday season. Per the email we are not permitted to request any time off over Thanksgiving or Christmas. Is this legal?

Unless prohibited by your contract, it is perfectly legal. Not sure what you mean by you "have tenure."
