Legal Question in Employment Law in Florida

vehicle reimbursements

My employer required me to purchase a four wheel drive vehicle for my job. The employer offer letter stated that the vehicle payment would be reimbursed as well as insurance, gas, and tolls. The employer fired me 6 months later. Is the employer required to provide any relief to me, meaning is there a way to force them to pay off the car and then i give them the car to do with as they please. I'm now stuck with personal debt that was supposed to be paid for by the employer. During the hiring process, the employer stated that as an LLC, they could not have assets. Do i have any legal recourse. The requirement of the four wheel drive is not in writing, but the empoyer had to approve the vehicle during the purchase process.

Re: vehicle reimbursements

Without something in writing, for the amounts at issue and given the law governing employment in Florida, it unfortunately seems that you may not have a specific remedy to address the situation you are now in. However, you should meet with an attorney to make sure all relevant facts have been discussed.
