Legal Question in Employment Law in Florida

Wage cut

i live in the state of

florida and we get paid on past hours. So if i am getting my pay check this friday it is really for the hours that i worked for the previous two weeks not the current week. I was just notifed that on this paycheck that i am about to receive tomorrow that I have been given a 10% pay cut. Can an employer do that without notifying you first? i was basically working the past almost three weeks without knowing that i was getting paid 10% less than what i normally make. Please help me to understand the lasw of employers making wage cuts in the state of Florida without notifying the employee. Thank you:)

Re: Wage cut

No -- they cannot retroactively cut your wages. They can probably prospectively do so, but that would depend on your contract.
