Legal Question in Employment Law in Florida
my wife signed a nurse resident program contact in order to obtain employment at a local hospital. After over a year of employment she has found another opportunity. Her paycheck just came in and was short $1100 and is owed personal time pay which we just found out will not be paid since there is a clause in the document that is written as "I agree to remain actively employed for a period of one year (total minimum time of 15 months from beginning date of the program). The repayment amount is $2500. I'm finding this hard to swallow as she was never given a copy of this contract until today....and surprise!
Any leg to stand on?
