Legal Question in Employment Law in Florida
My wife & I work in the same hospital. I interviewed for a higher position. Two weeks later, having heard nothing yet, my wife asked the nurse manager of that department about my interview. The nurse manager then told my wife that I was not chosen for the position and the reasons why I wasn't chosen. My question is: Was it illegal to share that information with another non-administrative staff member, or was it illegal for my wife to inquire about me, or both, or neither?

You are complaining because your wife was told that you didn't get the promotion that she knew you were applying for? Come on. There is no privacy right to an employment application or the reasosns someone is not hired.
