Legal Question in Employment Law in Florida

withholding sick pay benifits

I am allowed 6 days per year to use as sick days. I was out sick on 2/10/05 and the company I work for still has not paid me for the sick time I am entitled to. Myself and all of my co-workers have been experiencing pay-roll problems since this company (Kent Security)has bought the security contract from Cricket Club Condominium. They consistently short us on our checks and it can take weeks or months before it is resolved,IF it is resolved. Nobody I contact returns my calls and I have no idea how to recover this money I am owed!

Re: withholding sick pay benifits

If you have not been paid all of your earned wages, including a final paycheck, overtime wages or other, you may be able to take action to recover the monies you are due. However, different laws apply depending on which "type" of wages you are owed. Please consult with an attorney to determine your rights and feel free to contact us for further assistance.
