Legal Question in Employment Law in Florida

I work as a cocktail waitress in a strip club. My manager is beginning to require all employees (including bartenders, security and the DJ) to give "the house" 50% of our nightly tips. Can I be legally fired if I refuse to give up my money?

Is what your employer is asking you to do probably illegal, yes. Can your employer fire you for refusing to do so legally, no. Can your employer fire you and make up some other reason for your termination? Yes. Feel free to call my office if you wish to discuss this matter further.
