Legal Question in Employment Law in Florida
I work for a company that has recently made a push to have all employee start doing soft tissue per works stretching excesise. At first it was made to sound like it was recommended then the bosses after hearing so much push back decided to say that it is manadatory. I am confused if my job is to sit at a desk all day how I can be made to do excesises by my employer.
Also it has been put on my yearly goals that I do the excesises every day starting the second quater. I have medical condition that prevents me from doing certain types of movements and most of them are those on this stretching regament. Please let me know what recourse I have on this matter. I do not feel like I should have to share my complete medical history with my boss to get out of the excesises or have it affect how I am rated on doing my job.

I would tell your boss or human resources department that you have a disability and need an accommodation such as not having to do those excercises. If they don't accommodate you and your work performance is negatively reviewed, you may have a legal claim. You should speak with an employment law attorney to discuss further your claimed disability. Feel free to call my office if you wish to discuss the matter further.
