Legal Question in Employment Law in Florida
Work Related Issue
I was hired on a temp to perm basis with a time frame of 90 days. The time has come and gone without me being either let go or hired full-time. I was told at the 90 day period that I would remain as a temp due to financial reasons - it had nothing to do with my capabilities. The state of the company has improved, but another 90 days has passed and I still have not been made permanent. The job was obtained through a staffing agency. Do I have any legal recourse against either the staffing agency or the company I am employed by?

Re: Work Related Issue
Do you have any kind of contract in writing which promises you a permanent job after 90 days? If not, you most likely do not have any legal recourse. Florida is an employment "at-will" state, meaning you as an employee can leave at any time without notice unless you have a contract which states otherwise.
