Legal Question in Employment Law in Florida

Work under stress

I and my co worker also over 55 are having problems at our work place, Non Profit. Our pay has been decreased and now we are being thratened with part time status and loosing our benefits because our boss is overpaid and people have left our congregation because of his dictatorship. He has a criminal past with the sheriff dept. So many people have left. Contributions are low, and he is the cause of it. I have been a faithfull employee for over 13 and 1/2 years. What options do we have. I feel it is a matter of time before we lose our job.

Re: Work under stress

If you are being treated differently and/or less favorably because of your age (for example, 30 year old ees not subjected to same conditions), the employer's conduct may be illegal and you would need to file a Charge of Discrimination with the EEOC. For further assistance, please feel free to contact my office at (305) 755-9441.
