Legal Question in Employment Law in Florida

I worked at a grocery store in the state of Florida and had a low blood sugar reaction. I was in the back of the store working by myself when suddenly I felt dizzy, very confused, weak and didn't know what I was doing. My knees gave out and I had to catch myself on a table. I knew what was happening but had left my Glucose Tablets in the truck my wife had taken to her work. With no one aound to ask for help I was in desperate need of sugar so I opened a product that had been thrown away because it was out of date and I ate one item in the multi-pack. After a few minutes when my blood sugar came back up enough for me to walk I set the opened item aside and went looking for the manager on duty to tell her what had happened. While I was in the front of the store looking for her, she had gone to the back of the store and had seen the item I had set aside. Still looking for the manager I walked to the back of the store again and she and another "higher up manager" saw the product and suspended me and I was told to clock out and leave. I clocked out and went to the back of the store again to tell them why I did what I did so they would know I wasint trying to steal the item. When I got back to the managers they were already on the phone talking to the HR department. He put me on the phone with them and I told them what had happened with both managers there with me. I wrote a statement on what happened as best as I could at the time. I paid for the item and I was told to leave and they would contact me when they decided what to do. Not once did any of the managers ask if I was alright or if I needed any help. They knew I had no transportation but still sent me away. Two days later I was told I had been fired for violating the employee purchasing guide. Is there anything I can do legally and is there any violation under the ADA they may have done and do you think I would have a case in court?
