Legal Question in Employment Law in Florida
I have worked for large bank since 2001, I have been out on LTD for 2+ years. I got a doctors note to return to work, they stopped disability payments same day, cut off medical insurance at the end of month, giving me 60 days for job search in same company with no pay. I have been on 2 interviews. Recruiter says she will only send me on one more interview (this Friday), but yet company will not terminate me so I can collect unemployment or search for outside work until 60 day period is up. I am afraid to search for other work as I have read that they can sue me for compensation of disability. Is this legal?
