Wrongful Termination
I was asked to fly into Tampa (homeoffice) after a disagreement with the CEO and my new boss regarding the way I handled my account. When I arrived I was told that they did not like my attitude when I had them listen to a voicemail from the client restricting them from coming. They still insisted I blocked the visit. I was told ''you are done, you can either resign or you are terminated effective immediatly'' I met briefly with HR and was escorted out the building without signing or agreeing to anything. Can I still resign in writting requesting two weeks pay which would have been the way I would have resigned? I live in GA but my job is in FL

I'll let a Florida lawyer address the law there, but I note you title your post "wrongful termination" but say nothing about why it is wrongful or relevant to your post. It looks like you just want your 2 weeks pay. In Georgia (should a reader in GA have the issue), had you been terminated (and it looks like you probably were) you would generally not be able to "resign." You would not have a job from which to resign. The trade off is that perhaps you might be entitled to some unemployment benefits, depending on the facts.
