Legal Question in Employment Law in Florida
wrongful termination
I was an editor at a local newspaper. I reported that a co-worker, who had been harassing me verbally, had plagiarized my work. Several weeks later, my employment was terminated, with no valid reason. I feel it was because I reported the plagarism. Is this grounds for taking legal action?

Re: wrongful termination
Depending on details, you could have a claim for wrongful termination under Florida's whistle blower act if you were terminated because of the plagarism complaint.
