Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Florida
After 9 months of renting my apartment, a plummer hired by my land lord has discovered code violations that may have something to do with the original problem. Can i withhold rent until the violation is corrected?

Read your lease first for remedies. My guess is that you did not have it reviewed by an attorney and as such, there will be few protections for you. Second, just because the Plumber said that there were code violations, does not mean that there ARE violations. Call the code enforcement department and have them inspect the problem. If so, then you MIGHT, be able to do so, unless you lease has some other remedy.
