Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Florida
Apartment trying to force exclusive internet provider. Not my apartment but writing this for an acquaintance who didn't know about this until they received a letter hand deliver by UPS.
They just received this stating their internet provider will change and they have to purchase a plan with the new provider. They do not want to switch as the new provider is more expensive and the service is considerable worse (40% of current internet speed).
They signed a one year lease in January. Any advice about whether or not the they can do this would be appreciated.

It depends on what is in the lease.
