MOVE. BREAK YOUR LEASE. THE APARTMENT IS UNTENABLE. It sounds more like "bed bugs" than fleas. You cannot let your baby and wife be bitten by bugs. MOVE.

If the landlord comes after you for damages for breaking the lease, let me know, and I will put my legal foot down on their head. Seriously.

I am so sorry to hear about this. Your landlord has a duty to provide you a properly maintained place to live. This includes the extermination of bugs. Send your landlord a letter in writing telling him that if the problem is not fixed, you will have to leave. Withhold any additional rent that may be due. Start looking for a new place in case they don't move you or exterminate the bugs. Helpful information is also available at http://www.800helpfla.com/landlord_text.html. Regards,
