Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Florida
basis to suit
my wife was assulted on the grounds of our senior apartment complex. (battery with sexual intent). The assalter drove on to the property. The complex has a gated entrance, exits but the gates have not worked since the complex was built!! They are always opened. if the gates had been working the assaulter could not have driven on to the property. is this grounds for a law suit against the apartment complex? police report field and being investigated.
thanks

Re: basis to suit
It may very well be, especially, if there were prior incidents.
