Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Florida
My boyfriend and I signed a lease for a condo we also put down a deposit to hold the place for us. But our application for the HOA is still pending, if we do not get approved by them can we get our deposit money back even if we both signed the lease?

The lease agreement you signed controls your rights and obligations. it needs to be reviewed.
