Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Florida
Can I break the lease with the landlord if I want to will country forever?
Because of family issues I need to leave country fo at least few years. Can I break the lease in my apartment? I heard if you are leaving the country (I am not US citizen) they can't tell me to pay for the apartment, is it true?

It is not true. Moving out of the U.S. does not allow you to break a lease. However, it is difficult to sue someone outside the U.S., so it may be tough for them to collect money against you. The likely result will be that the broken lease will appear on your U.S. credit report and your U.S. Equifax rental history report.
