If I need to break my lease and my leasing office will not work with me how bad can it affect me in the future if I get evicted.

You will have the eviction on your credit report, you will owe money pursuant to the terms of the lease and could have a judgment entered against you for that and that judgment can be enforced against your assets. It can be bad. Seek some legal advice with your paperwork.
