Breaking a lease
Can a lease be broken on the grounds that the apartment was broken in to and the tenant no longer feels saft?

That may be possible. Some factors include the language in the lease agreement, whether the neighborhood has a predisposition for criminal activity, whether the landlord knew about the neighborhood's crime rate, and whether the landlord took any security precautions.
