Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Florida

Breaking a lease

My mom just moved into a new apartment community as a result of her current property not having any larger apartments available since my sister has moved back in with her. The new property is extreamly noisy (tons of kids and she lives near the recreational areas) and there is not enough parking. She works very early in the morning (5am) and has to walk in the dark quite a distance to get to her car. She has only been there a little over a week and now her old property has something available for her. She called her new leasing office and they said there is no grace period to re-neg the agreement of lease. Is there any options available since she is so unhappy with the noise and parking issues?

Re: Breaking a lease

They are correct. Unless you have someone to take over the apartment they can hold her to the lease.
