Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Florida

Commerical lease

If I personally guarantee a commercial lease and was not able to make the rent payments in the future, could the landlord pursue a commercial property that I own that is set up as a limited liability company? I am the only member of the LLC.

Re: Commerical lease

Likely yes. However, this does not mean that the landlord could get any money out of the LLC. Please contact a qualified attorney for an initial consultation to discuss your rights. Planning ahead is always advisable.
