Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Florida
Can a court, Small Claims, allow a Plaintiff extra time to file her complaint?..I undrstand that 30 days has been deemed by the courts to be a reasonable time to file. Can the Judge allow a plaintiff that extra 3 too 5 days?
Under the same issue, can that Judge allow her own Court Order, too supply the defendent all evidence 15 days prior to the hearing to be violated, and allow the plaitinff to supply to submit evidence at the hearing, there-by not allowing the defendent enough time to mount a proper defense?
Thank you,
Terry Engel

The Court is in charge of timing that is not otherwise provided by the rules. If you were not provided documentation which would require investigation, the Court should give you time to evaluate that information.
