Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Florida

Current Addresses Unknown

I would like to take two of my former roommates to small claims court; however, I have relocated to another state and I do not know of their new locations.

I have a cell phone number for one and some family members' phone numbers for the other. The County Clerk of Courts said I need to contact the Broward Sheriff's Department to have them found, but BSO said that was incorrect - they don't do investigations.

The case will be filed in Broward County, since that's where we lived at the time, but I'm sure they are now both living in Miami-Dade. I know the general vicinity of both, but not the addresses.

How do I go about having these two served?

Have you done a skip/trace?

Do you have ID info: birthdates, DL #, SS# etc.?

I can help if you find it cost effective. How much is owed?
