Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Florida

Can defendant's lawyers use an unsigned deposition by me against me on court trail? They mailed it to me one day before the trail and i received it one day after the trail. I never had a chance to read it or to correct and sign it.

Following a deposition you generally have the ability to "read' or "waive" and this action is typically had on the record. The ability to read and subsequently approve and sign the transcript provides a mechanism to correct or contest blatant mistakes, it's not a second bite at the apple to change your testimony.

There are some facts missing from your question, but generally that transcript will likely only be used to impeach you and not admitted in its entirety.

I suggest that you speak with a local attorney with trial experience to discuss this issue and perhaps represent you at the trial.

Best of luck

If there are errors in the transcript so advise the judge.
