Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Florida
End of lease options
I have a tenant that has paid very well for 7 years. His lease just ran out and I have not sent him a new one yet. He is refusing to pay me the rent without a lease. What are my options? I am not sure I want to get locked into a long term lease at this time.

Re: End of lease options
Unless the lease had an option to renew he is at your mercy. You can terminate, send a renewal at your terms or treat him as a month to month tenant. If he refuses to pay, evict. Good luck.
