Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Florida
Can you get evicted for having dogs not allowed. We were housing three puppies until we could find them a home. We were evicted and told we have to pay rent for the rest of the lease.

If you were told no dogs allowed in your lease, then no dogs allowed and yes you can be evicted.

as to the rent, sorry hit the button too quick. He can charge you rent up to the time he has re-rented the unit. If he makes no attempt to mitigate his damages, then you may have a chance not to pay the rent until the lease is up.
