Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Florida

Eviction

My husband and I moved into a house 3 months ago. The property the house is located on has a guest house on it. We sub-lease the house from the tenant that lives in the guesthouse. The electric is in her name and we have a 10 month lease through her. In the lease it states we are to pay 1/2 of the bills since the electric is on one meter and we split it. Now after living there for 3 months she wants us to pay 2/3 of the electric. We told her NO...so she entered our home while we was at work and turned off the AC. Now she wants to evict us. Can she do that? We have paid all our biils including rent on time and never missed?

Re: Eviction

It depends on your written lease. She should not be able to change the terms of a written lease. You should consult an attorney. If you would like to contact my office, please email or call.
