I got an eviction notice, on the paperwork it says Subject: Premises (Leased Property), but I don't have a lease or anything in writing............Is this a legal eviction ?

Yes. A verbal lease is sufficient for an eviction if the Plaintiff can prove the terms of the agreement. The court will look at the behavior of the parties (when rent was paid, how much, how long you have rented there, etc.) if you and the landlord disagree on what exactly the terms were.
