Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Florida
My ex-boyfriend moved out 9/12/09, 30 days ago. He did take his clothes. But he has other items pictures, which I can send to his sister. He has a old truck, that has been in my backyard for 9 years (it's not tagged, or ins) has never run. Engine parts.
and old lawn mowers, along with old wood he has gathered. I would like to get this cleaned up. He has not contacted me at all. I did contact him the first 2 weeks to make arrangements with him, his reply was that he was looking for a place. I have not heard from him in weeks. Can I get rid of the debris in my yard. He was not on
a lease where I live.

Hello: In response to your answer, I submit you can treat his property as abandoned. I would make sure you give him notice, either directly or through another person, and a definite deadline to remove things. After that deadline, it would be considered abandoned property. Good luck. Tom Rosenblum
