Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Florida
In February I rented a room to a woman on a monthly basis. On April 27 I gave her 30 Day Written Notice that I needed her to leave. On May 4th she paid me for May's rent. Then on May 8th she left me a note that she was moving out that day. She asked me for May's rent money back! She did not give me notice and I still have not found a replacement.

She does not need to give you notice, you gave her notice. YOu took her money which says to me you both changed your minds about the other one leaving. I suggest you prorate the May rent and return that portion to her. Just b/c you have not found a replacement does not mean she has to pay , you asked her to leave.
