Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Florida

Can my fiance kick me out of the apartment we share if my name is not on the lease? I pay some of the bills here and have been living with him for the entire duration of our lease so far. Please advise.

Your "fiance" was "letting" you live there, the landlord is not obligated to you, because your name is not on the lease. Even if you have been paying bills, it doesn't matter, as to the lease. Forget the wedding, find a place to live on your own.

Shelly is correct. You need to find your own place. You can make it difficult for him by telling him he will have to evict you. That means a 3 to 10 day delay and he will have to pay for the filing fee and sheriff to service you. But, it will be a record on your name - so you decide. I suggest you just leave.
