Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Florida
Florida rv park laws
My wife and I are full time RV staying at Grand Lake RV resort in Orange Lake FL.
We came here and rented our space with the rent being a flat $3500 per year payable at the rate of $550 per mo for 61/2 months and the last 51/2 months is to be free.
The park remains under the same owner but just hired a new manager who just put out a letter demanding all residents sign an agreement for $300 fine to be charged to your credit card if you get caught violating certain rules and the ones that doesn't sign the agreement must leave the park.
When we came here we agreed to the rules set foward and we will abide by them however I will not agree to them changing the credit card billing in the midde of the year.
Most of the residents here has stayed and payed most of their year and before they get into their free months, managment is trying to run them out before the snow birds get here.
What is the Florida Law on this???
Is there anything I can do? My wife is disabled and we are here going to the doctors nearby.

Re: Florida rv park laws
You can certainly stay for the remainder of your lease. After that, however, unless your lease gives you the right to renew, they can require you to sign the new policy as a condition of renewing the lease.
