Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Florida

After i was forced by my exboyfriend to move out, he is not refusing to give me my belongings back. Some of my property had to stay with him the day I moved out. Several deadlines later he still finds excuses why he can't give it back. Meanwhile (at least that's what he says) all his property (including mine) is in a storage as he lost the house. I'm looking for a legal sample letter to claim my property back with a deadline and if not fulfilled that I might take it to court. Thank you for any kind of help. (I'm really looking for something written here and not going in with the cops as I don't even know where his storage is)

Threaten to file a suit against him for replevin, conversion, and civil theft. Just write a demand letter yourself and use those words. Replevin is a cause of action that is available under your circumstances, as are conversion and civil theft.
