Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Florida

How can I garnish wages on someone who is self-employeed?

Individual (former tenant) was sued in Small Claims Court in Lee Couty, FL. for destruction of personal property to my home there. He made payments for one year, but stopped. He was working at 7-11, but was displaced in September 2003 which is when he stopped payments. He now works for himself as a pool cleaner. He has been granted an occupational license to do this and has been doing this on the side for many years. I have been granted a judgement and would like to know if/how I can garnish his pool company.

Thank you

Garnishment usually refers to wages. If he is paying hismself a salary garnishment may prove helpful. Another alternative is to place a lien on his assets i.e. car, home, etc. His company assets may be difficult to get to especially if he has incorporated.
