Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Florida
can you give less than a 60 day notice to break lease
My husband and I just bought a house and we still have a lease agreement. Our lease expires on September of 07, but we are expected to move in the end of december of 06. Our landlord only takes a 60 day notice, but we only want to give a 30 day notice to save money. Can we do that? our lease agreement states that it is a 1000 fee to break our lease. Do we have to pay for the fee even if we are buying a house.

Unless your landlaord agrees to waive, you are stuck.
