Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Florida

Hello,

I am a landlord in Broward County, FL and I am in a process of evicting the tenant for non payment of rent(no lease was signed).I served him a 3 day pay or quit notice. Then I went to the courthouse and filed for an eviction on 4/7.Hi did not respond,so yesterday I decided to go to the condo and see what's going on.When I went there,he was gone.He took all of his belongings except a bed,TV and a couple of tables. What should I do next? Should I do the Default Follow up Procedure, since he's already moved out?And can I change the locks now?

Also,he owes close to $1000 fon unpaid rent and utility bills. What should I do?

Thank you,

Anika

Get the order, dump his goods and change the locks. You will have to sue him in small claims court for the $ owed.
