Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Florida

Hello,

My grandmother has been declared legally blind and she is obviously disable(she walks with a can and a wheelchair). Her gait is extremely slow and weak, we have to hold on to her transporting her back and forth to medical appointments and to run errands. She has been requesting over a year now that her apartment complex please provide a disabled parking space in front of her door to make it at least a little more convienient for her and they have refused, telling her that she doesn't need or require one. Because of her condition and because the landlord is supposed to be binded for looking out for tenants safety, shouldn't they honor her request? My grandmother has almost had several slips and falls already just trying to make it to the car........thank you :0)
