landlord called employer about eviction

I am behind 1/2 months rent for Dec and have not paid Jan yet, we had verbally agreed for me to pay Jan's rent this Fri. He called and used profanity and then called my employer to let them know that they are a witness to him evicting me. Do I have any resources for compensation for him calling my job?
