Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Florida
so how can a landlord hide the fact that he is making tenants pay half the lasd taxes for the year? Does he hide this fact by putting it under another topic such as the prospectus for increased costs which causes rent increases ? So does he have to claim it as profit? Is it legal for him to do this?can they add land taxes under a different topic or use "Ad Valorem Tax due"? There is a mobile home park that does this. At the end of the year they impose a 300.00 or more cost upon the people whom own their own mobiles but rent the land and they say it is the land taxes tenants are paying half of but no where in the lease is it stated that they have to pay for land taxes. At the end of every year every tenant has to write out another check (besides rent check) under Valorem tax due for land taxes. Is this legal in Florida?

If your rental ageement provides that you are responsible to pay taxes, then that is part of your "deal" and is perfectly permissable.
