Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Florida

Landlord Problems

We leased property in March of this year and put a $4500 refundable deposit on the property and another $500 deposit towards any damages. Can a landlord say that all repairs on the home be our responsibility including the a/c leaking or the roof leaking? I called to inform him that the a/c is leaking and he told me to ''FIX IT OR MOVE OUT!'' Now since I have called him he has been unbearable. The payment is due on the 1st....and he'll put a 3 day notice on the door the 2nd. I guess there are many questions here, but is it possible that we pay the payments to the court to refrain from having to deal with him.....at this point we definitely will be moving out when the lease/option is done, my nerves can't handle this guy. He has even called my place of employment and told my boss we were getting evicted and that he thought they should know what kind of people they employ, and to see if they could relay the message to me about the eviction.... but has never once called me! Is this all completely on the up and up?? Thanks for your time.

Re: Landlord Problems

Your lease should dictate who is responsible for repairs.
