Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Florida

Can a Landlord rent out a room to another tenant before my lease expires? I tried to renew before it expired but was told i couldn't because a lease had already ben signed by a new tenant. I was told I had to leave my apartment, but could move to another one. I don't want to move out and I am not behind on my rent. Can I be forced to move?

Sadly if your lease is up and you did not notify the landlord that you intended to renew, then yes they can ask you to move. The fact that they offered another unit shows that they wish to comply with your situation and mitigate any damages that they may have.
