Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Florida
Landlord repsonsibilty or mine?
A big part of my ceiling has fallen, and the rest looks as if it can come down at any time. Fiberglass is exposed and the sheet rock peice is still hanging. Is our landlord required to provide somewhere for us to live until this is fixed, or is this my responsibility? I live in the state of FL.
The fall was due to 6+ inches of water sitting on the roof. The weight of the water caused this. The roof is flat and there is no water drainage happening. We have contacted him and he has been giving us the runaround.
