Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Florida
Landlord stealing from tenant
I have been mysteriously short on my rent payments twice recently. Paying by check, I am later notified that I am odd sums of money short of what my rent should be. According to my bank statements and assertions from a bank employee, my checks have been going through in their entirety. Speaking with apartment staff, there are no additional fees. This is theft. How should I go about this? What can I do?

I am not sure yuo need to do anything, You give the check to the landlord. The landlord cashes the check. The check says, for instance, $100. The landlord says it got $70. So shoe the check to the landlord, that he received $100.
