Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Florida

My landlord is trying to sue me in court and I have a counter suit. His lawsuit is baseless mine is not. he recently admended his complaint (still baseless) but will not set a court date. Since I have a counter suit. upon responding to the admended complaint. Can I let the court know that my counter suit, that cause is at issue and ready for trial and set a date?

I need to get this matter in court, just not exactly sure how. since he filed the lawsuit then I countered...

If the matter is at issue, meaning a complaint and answer, then notice the Court that it is ready for trial, by pleading. Then it is up to the Court to set it.
