Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Florida

I am a landlord with a unit in a condo. The association decided to tent the building. Do I have to pay my tenants to vacate the property while it's tented? Am I liable for their food? I require them to have renters insurance. Does their renters insurance cover their motel room and food? Thanks in advance

it will depend on what your lease states. Also did your tenants have to sign anything when they rented the unit with the HOA. If so, the HOA could be responsible for housing.

Your lease agreement controls your obligations. The renter's insurance policy would be one which they purchased and the terms are controlled by the policy. You would have owner's insurance and it would not likely cover you for these losses, but a review of the policy would need to be made. As for the HOA that is a great suggestion by Ms. Becude. You need to determine if they are responsible.
