Lease Is Up - New House Not Ready

My lease is up at the end of this month. However, I'm being told that the house will not be ready for us to move in until a few days after March 1st. Is there something I can try with my current landlord, for them to approve my wanting to stay a few extra days? Maybe take out of my security deposit?

Anything?

Yers him if you can stay over and pay additional rent.

Offer to pay an extra week of rent.
